April Keynote Address

The Quest for Giant Telescopes: Four Centuries of Challenge and Scientific Discovery

Scientific Program

The April Meeting will offer an outstanding scientific program consisting of three plenary sessions (nine plenary talks), approximately 75 invited sessions, more than 100 contributed sessions, plus poster sessions. There will also be a public lecture on one of the evenings during the meeting. The Sherwood Fusion Conference sessions will be held concurrently with the April Meeting sessions.

Submission Deadline

The deadline for receipt of abstracts is Friday, January 9, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. EST (2:00pm PST).  We strongly urge you to proof your abstract before submitting it.

Submitting More Than One Contributed Abstract
APS members may submit only one abstract for presentation.
  • If you submit a second abstract it will be assigned as a poster, if poster space is available.
  • If you do not wish to present your second abstract as a poster, please do not submit more than one abstract.
  • Abstracts submitted beyond a second abstract will not be included in the program.
