Nominations for APS Committees

Email | Print

Selecting excellent leadership is the single most important activity any organization can undertake to insure its continued good health. The opportunity for you to help APS to begin this process is provided below. We hope that you will make use of the nomination form (see below) to do this. All nominations will be reviewed by the members of the APS Committee on Committees as they draw up a slate of candidates for 2009 Committees.

Supporting biographical documentation is very important. Ideally this would consist of one or two paragraphs of career highlights and a few sentences on why your nominee is particularly qualified to serve on the committee. Please feel free to pass on any comments to the Committee on Committees by using the Comments section. Self-nominations are encouraged. You are welcome to suggest multiple names for committees by submitting the form as often as necessary. You are also welcome to send additional information such as CV's to governance@aps.org. Nominees MUST BE members of the APS. Thank you for helping to maintain the democratic traditions of the APS.

Nominations are accepted any time but to be considered for 2009 appointments, the deadline is September 12, 2008.
